42 kilometers of camaraderie, endurance, and endless tastings! Since its creation in 1985, the Medoc Marathon has become the must-attend event for marathoners eager for a festive atmosphere. Every year, this event draws nearly 8,500 participants, who swap their city wear for running gear (or a costume) to tackle the 42.195 km course through the prestigious Médoc vineyards. Participants come together to enjoy a unique route through wine-growing lands and castles, where sports merge with gastronomy and the discovery of local heritage.

Held in early September, it is the flagship event of the season in the South-West of France! The race enjoys the pleasant Indian summer, with mild and sunny weather, offering ideal running conditions. The route allows runners to admire breathtaking landscapes while savoring renowned wines and local specialties at each stop.
