Marathon Beneva in Quebec: A Race with the Sweet Scent of Maple

Born in the early 2000s, the Quebec Marathon is the beloved event for Canadian runners! More than 13,500 runners and walkers gather each year to explore the most beautiful streets and neighborhoods of Quebec City. Revamped in 2022, this marathon crosses three districts and nine iconic neighborhoods, offering participants a glimpse of this legendary city in Canada. It’s a compact course and a unique athletic challenge, offering breathtaking panoramas and the most beautiful colors of Quebec’s autumn.

Indeed, the temperatures will be as ideal as the scenery, with the race organized in early October. Featuring an elevation gain of 275 m, the 42.195 km course is a demanding event that will leave runners feeling those post-race aches! Participants can also select more accessible distances such as the 21.097 km half-marathon, which is fast and scenic, or the 10 km, 5 km, and the 2 km youth race.

Plus besoin donc de visiter la ville, après avoir couru ce marathon, tout sportif devient incollable sur les monuments présents dans la ville de Québec. L’arrivée de chaque épreuve se tient au niveau de la place Jean-Béliveau, située au cœur d’ExpoCité, où trône l’œuvre d’art publique La Rencontre, symbole de cette rencontre entre sport, patrimoine et culture.
