The Toulouse Marathon: a race full of promises!

The “Pink City” welcomes back the Toulouse Marathon after a brief hiatus from 2019 to 2024. For its return, the race is presented with a brand-new name: The Toulouse Métropole Run Experience. Many runners take on the iconic 42.195 kilometers—over 6,000 participants! This warm event, with the vibrant atmosphere Toulouse is known for, is often considered one of the must-attend races nationally and internationally. Since 2021, it has held the international label from the French Athletics Federation, which is a true mark of quality! The event is multifaceted, featuring a half-marathon, a 10K, a kids’ race, and for those interested, a relay marathon.

The Toulouse Métropole Run Experience promises to be a colorful circuit through the authentic terracotta monuments that are a symbol of the city. Runners will quickly enter the heart of Tolosa, discovering numerous historical sites, especially at the start where participants will tread the legendary Place du Capitole. They will then head towards the Piste des Géants, the Cité de l’Espace, the Pont des Catalans, and the Pont Neuf, finishing triumphantly at the Stadium of Toulouse Football Club. Missing from the course, but still notable, is the Ernest Wallon Stadium, a fabulous rugby stadium that livens up the weekends for nearby residents.

Going forward, the marathon is focused on the eco-friendly commitment of all its runners and its own organization, with several initiatives in place. Notably, the goal of zero plastic at refreshment stations, which will be directly connected to the city’s potable water network. This promises to be a rich and innovative race across all domains.
